Born in Warsaw, Poland (1898) - Tamara De Lempicka (birth-name - Maria Gorska) certainly had a very unique and easily recognizable painting-style which beautifully epitomized the fascinating sophistication of the Art Deco movement of the 1920s and 1930s.

A very strong-willed and intense-looking woman - Lempicka's highly-stylized portraits and paintings of nudes were clearly a mix of refined cubism and neo-classical elegance.

This first-rate pictorial biography of Lempicka will, indeed, give you a very precise overview of this talented woman's remarkable life and notable artistic career.

*Note* - In 1980 - Tamara De Lempicka (81 at the time) died of a heart attack.
