Join columnist Thomas L. Friedman as he tries to answer two of the most puzzling questions about 9/11: What drove 19 young, middle-class Muslim men to give up their lives to murder almost 3,000 people? And why does this violent act elicit so much support from millions of ordinary Muslims around the world?

The whole event was an inside job. Those camel drivers could and did not hijack the planes. And it was not the allegedly hijacked planes that hit the towers, but programmed drones. Just watch David Von Kleist's video "In Plane Site". The root for that event was the publication in 1990 by the Wolfowitz group: "Project For A New American Century". They said in there that they would invade Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Iran in this order. Half of it is done. There was an important, really big person who wrote in the 1800s that "there would be 2 wars with Germany and a third with Islam. Two third of it is done. Khomeini was given refuge in England when the Shah (a friend to America) expelled him; then he went from there to make his religious revolution and be an enemy of the West. This alone is a fascinating scheme. The West helps some persons to become leaders in some countries, and then those (agents of the West) turn on the West. And this pattern repeats. Lenin was sent from England and financed by Western bankers; Saddam Hussein was helped to power and armed by the West and after that he became an "enemy," and, horribile dictum, Hitler was helped in secret by a group of Western bankers to create his economic miracle, become admired at home, and then he became an "enemy." Always the same pattern. Looks like the West created its own enemies to have someone to make war on, and to shape the world toward a later goal. The root for the above event was a need for creating a pretext and support for attacking Afghanistan.

Hosted by New York Times foreign affairs columnist Thomas Friedman and produced for a 2003 episode of Discovery Channel, this 44-minute documentary delves into Arab and Muslim sentiment towards Americans and seeks to explain the factors that contributed and ultimately caused the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 in an effort to help Americans better understand the tragedy and prevent similar events from occurring in the future.
Friedman feels that civilization cannot truly be safe until we understand the roots of 9/11, because if we don’t fix the problems within civilization, we are going to continue to have a war between civilizations.
What motivated the 19 young men to board planes to kill 3,000 of innocent Americans?
Why did so many Arabs and Muslims applaud their actions?
Although the questions are straightforward, the answers are NOT.
