A wonderfully written account of four sisters held captive by the Cheyenne Dog Soldiers by a great granddaughter of one of the captives.
What is great about this is Mrs. Jauken parallels the histories of the Cheyenne, the soldiers who were chasing them and the life of the captive sisters so you have the events in context.
There are a Lot of photos, which I appreciated.
She relies heavily on "Girl Captives of the Cheyenne" by Grace F. Meredith which I also highly recommend.
