For my taste the stitch imagery in the book was all too alike. I found it disappointing in that I know of many of these artists work and felt a much wider range of work could have been shown to showcase their talent. Take the list of the artists in the book and look them up online and you will learn a lot more.

This book is a wonderful introduction to a variety of hand stitching traditions and dying textiles with natural plant based dyes. I enjoyed it enough to purchase a copy for my own bookshelves. If you are looking for an in depth "how-to" book on this subject, you will need to look further.
