Esther Moore writes to William Lloyd Garrison telling him "that the two old Abolitionists of half a century R & EM are among the living" although they cannot work as much now for the antislavery cause. She also shares her love for Abby Kelley [Foster] and "those noble women of Boston, devoted spirits." She says she hopes these women, "never let go their hold, but fight valiantly in the holy cause of contending for equal rights, laying a good foundation for coming generations to build upon." Moore calls the fight for women's rights "one of the imperative demands of the age" and praises a recent speech given by Kelley in Boston, saying it "stands unrivaled in my opinion."
