Sarah H. Ernst writes to Anne Warren Weston in regards to asking her for leftover funds from a previous bazaar to start a fair in order to raise funds for the anti-slavery sewing circle that has been in operation for the past 6 years to make up coarse clothes for the fugitives who pass through Massachusetts. She writes, "if you feel disposed to send us any thing it will be very acceptable as there are but few here who can do much- even of those who are disposed to-and very few who are interested at all."
