This two-part Plymouth Playhouse version of Charles Dickens's classic "A Tale of Two Cities" originally aired on live television in 1953. The setting moves from London to Paris during the time of the French Reign of Terror. Wendell Corey stars as the drunken lawyer Sydney Carton, who ultimately sacrifices himself for the sake of his rival in love, Charles Darnay.
