I recall this movie as if it were just yesterday I saw it - - Witherspoon's acting ability was a knockout; really above and beyond! Sorry about that horrible accident she had awhile back, her acting since then appears to have changed, but her acting before then was exemplary! Bittersweet movie of the first degree!

Reese Witherspoon gives the performance of a lifetime in this deeply heartfelt movie classic about sisterly bonds, heterosexual bloom, and the strength of family.

Reese Witherspoon at age 15 showed her talent playing a young girl falling in love and losing her man first to her older sister and then his death so they are both mourning him. Very well acted for a 15 year old or any age for that matter. The movie has a family feel even with it's adult subject matter.
