Using computer graphics, this program examines the problem of finding the radius of the orbit of a geosynchronous satellite using Newton's laws. A review of the mathematics required is given, along with a detailed solution to the problem that explains the modeling process. Optional teaching pause points are provided between each step. Suggestions for further problems associated with space flight include excellent NASA footage.
