Exploring the GeosphereStreaming Video - 2009
Visions of Earth is a series derived from National Science Education Standards. It was designed to fit with current and future Earth science curricula in schools across the country. Drawing upon the American Geological Institute's huge geoscientific archive of HD television footage, this video investigates the geosphere, and its components, including plate tectonics, surface processes, and the rock cycle. It also looks at how geoscientists collect evidence to study past, present, and future changes, and discusses how computer based technologies are used to model and monitor Earth's systems and processes. Finally, it covers how humans interact with the geosphere.
