It's tough, making a film about perhaps the least sympathetic group of political conspirators of the 20th century. What else would you call a class that, without its support, the Nazis would have been crushed in the 1920s, and also continued to support them, even as they destroyed all their best and most honorable generals? To the German military aristocracy, what was important was the end of the democracy nonsense, and the restoration of a political system almost as oppressive as the Nazi's own. I think the producers of this film were trying to make something truthful and interesting, but Tommy just does not have the acting powers to play a person like von Stauffenberg. Maybe one day I'll come back to it, but for now, I could not finish it.
