Wow. Couldn't stop reading this from the moment I picked it up. The book starts off with a teachers retirement speech, and the revelation that her child drowned in the swimming pool. But it was not an accident... From that moment on, Minato takes the reader through six different persepctives - six different lives that are involved in the story, from pupil to teacher, to mother, to accomplice... I was kept guessing until the very end. This is usually not my kind of book, but it was just so incredibly well written and easy to read, that despite the nightmare-inducing subject matter, I couldn't put it down. Incredible.
