This is a 2009 Spanish documentary about Juan Pujol Garcia's role in the Second World War, directed by Edmon Roch. The film tells about a double agent who saved thousands of lives by misinformaing the Germans about the timing and location of the D-Day operation. In his inexhaustible imagination, he even went so far as to secure death benefits from the Nazis for an imaginary agent's nonexistent widow. The director artfully interweaves propaganda footage, interviews with intelligence experts and key players in Garbo's life as well as Juan Pujol Garcia himself. It also includes clips from Hollywood spy films. Included in this DVD is a 32-minute fascinating and shocking report on Garbo by Nigel West (Intelligence & Espionage expert and Garbo-hunter) who tells you how he identified and found Juan Pujol Garcia in Caracas, Venezuela after two previous failed attempts. Also included is a 27-minute amazing and amusing U.S. official & secret war-time training film called "Sonic Deception," in which the soldiers of the U.S. signal corps misinformed the Germans about the movements of the Armors Divisin so that the real tanks could make a surprise attack from rear.
