Read it if you are a fan of the series. But be prepared to take some time. This book does not flow well and is NOT an easy read. As others have noted this is a loooooong book that brings the war part of the series to an end while leaving open the possibility for another or even an anthology or two. While I did enjoy the story it was LOOOOOOOOONG and made mostly so by the introduction of dead end characters and micro plots that seemed to only be there to up the word count.(or provide basis for the anthologies...?) The many passages where Mr Weber spent 3-4 pages of detailed descriptions and development of characters that then get blown apart 2 pages later became repetitious and distracting after awhile. I found myself falling out of the enjoyment of the reading and mentally screaming at the author to just get on with it!!! Overall I was satisfied with the read and the "conclusion" of the series.
