After the death of her father, Sisi challenges Bavaria's best jockey to a spectacular horse race at Munich's Oktoberfest in order to save the family home, Possenhofen Castle. Breaking her promise to Franz, she trains for the race and soon discovers some dark family secrets. Sisi's eldest brother, Louis, has to choose between love and career in the face of new responsibilities, and her youngest sister, Sophie Charlotte, has a crush, of all people, on the "fairy tale king," King Ludwig.
