Both sides of the token are engraved with text and an ornamental border. Side 1: "William Lloyd Garrison, Esquire, the fearless, faithful, and eloquent vindicator of the rights of the people of color." Side 2: "Presented by the Juvenile Garrison Independant [sic] Society, on his leaving Boston for England. March 25th, 1833." Gift of the family of William Lloyd Garrison in March 1899.
