Poster includes a map of the Israel-Syria border area, five smaller maps showing campaigns undertaken by the Israeli army during period 1957-1967, and three photos depicting the shooting down of a Syrian plane. The second decade of Israel's existence included onging problems with Syria and also Jordan. Syria conducted a policy of unremitting provocation of Israel and of prodding the other Arab States into active belligerence. Map one shows the location of the downing of six Syrian MiGs. Map two shows the location of the retaliatory operation carried out by the IDF in the Palestinian village al-Samua near Hebron, which was then under Jordanian rule, on November 13, 1966. The third map shows the movement of a "hit" in the Battle over Water, a series of confrontations between Israel and its Arab neighbors from November 1964 to May 1967 over control of water sources in the Jordan River drainage basin. Map four shows the location of Operation Swallow, also known as Operation Nuqayb, which was a combined operation of the Golani Brigade force and the 13th Fleet against Syrian villages and outposts in the Golan Heights. The operation took place on the night of March 16-17, 1962. Map five depicts Operation Grasshopper, also known as the Tawfiq operation, which was a retaliatory operation carried out by the Golani Brigade against the Syrian village of Tawfiq, in response to incidents in the area of Kibbutz Tel Katzir.
